Joe Duffy, Petrochemicals

Joe Duffy joined Argus DeWitt in 2009 as Vice-President, Ethylene, Polymers and Derivatives, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, following a long experience within the European olefins market. He has worked for ICI, Huntsman and laterally Sabic, where he was responsible for the business management of Sabic’s olefins business in Europe.   In his time at Argus DeWitt, Joe has worked on a number of consultancy projects covering the structure of the European olefins markets, investment opportunities in the Middle East and the potential for ethane imports to Europe. 

Joe is also responsible for the provision of regular client services for ethylene and polymers along with the monthly Olefins Outlook forecast.  Joe has a BSc (Hons) degree and a PhD from the University of Glasgow

Anne Huber

Anne Huber, Petrochemicals

Anne Huber is a Principal Consultant for aromatics, crude and feedstocks, based in Houston. 

Anne has over 30 years’ experience in the refining and petrochemical industries. She worked for Chevron Corporation and affiliated companies, starting her career at Chevron’s Pascagoula, Mississippi, refinery in engineering and planning. Subsequent roles in regional supply and distribution in Houston included crude oil trading (physical and futures) and project management. With Chevron Phillips Chemical, Anne managed benzene feedstock purchases and precious metals catalyst. With Americas Styrenics, she managed the supply chain for feedstocks and styrene. Anne joined DeWitt & Company in 2010. 

Anne’s expertise includes refining and petrochemical supply chains and manufacturing economic analysis. She has completed single client work on various topics including reforming, pyrolysis gasoline, crude analysis, shale oil, pipelines and gasoline marketing. 

Anne is a graduate of Stanford University, with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.

Steve Webber

Steve Webber, Petrochemicals

Steve Weber is Vice-President of petrochemical and refining consulting, based in Houston.

Steve has more than 35 years’ experience in refining and chemical plant management, engineering and operations. Steve began his career with Fina in 1979 as a process engineer and had various other assignments in the 1980s in the economics and planning and marine transportation groups for Fina in Dallas. In 1989, he moved to the Port Arthur refinery and later became operations manager at the site. Steve was named plant manager of the Total/GE Joint Venture Styrene Plant (Cosmar) in 1995 and refinery manager at the Big Spring, Texas, refinery in 1998. In 2000, he returned to Louisiana to manage both the Styrene JV and the Total Petrochemicals Polystyrene Operation. Steve was named senior manager of aromatics for Total in 2005. 

Steve joined Dewitt & Company in 2011 after spending three years with Solomon Associates in the refining and petrochemical consulting area. 

Steve is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA.
